FAQ

Hotel security and hospitality staffing questions, answered

Here are the questions we hear most from hotels, office buildings, event planners and job seekers. If yours is not here, we are happy to help.

About our security officers

Our officers are hosts first. They work in hotel lobbies, resort grounds, office towers and event venues, where they greet people, help with directions and keep things calm. You choose how they present, from a black suit and tie to a tactical look.

To see how this works at a property like yours, start with our hotel security officers page or our commercial office security page.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What kind of security officers does VWF provide?

VWF provides unarmed security officers for hotels, resorts and commercial office buildings. Our officers are recruited, screened and trained for customer service, so they greet guests and tenants, give directions, track visitors at office lobby desks and help front desk staff on busy days. They also walk the property, watch entrances and respond calmly when something needs attention. Think of them as lobby ambassadors with a security role.

Do VWF officers carry firearms?

Our standard service is unarmed security officers, trained in customer service and chosen for their judgment. We believe a friendly, trained officer who knows the property and its guests is the right fit for hotels, resorts and offices. Armed officers are available only on request, after a site review, and we talk through the reasons with each client before making any recommendation.

Can I choose how VWF officers look?

Yes. You choose the presentation for each post. A black suit and black tie gives a professional, discreet appearance that suits luxury lobbies and executive floors. A tactical presentation is easier to spot at busy entrances, parking areas and loading docks. Many clients mix both, for example suits in the lobby and tactical at the service entrance. We review each post with you and recommend what fits your property.

What is a concierge security officer?

A concierge security officer works the lobby desk of a commercial office building. They greet tenants by name, check in and track visitors, answer questions and help deliveries reach the right place. At the same time, they balance the needs of tenants, visitors and building safety, so the lobby stays welcoming and orderly. VWF places concierge-style officers in office buildings, and you choose whether they wear a suit or a tactical presentation.

Does VWF offer hospitality staffing and executive search?

Yes. These services are new, and we are now accepting requests. We are now building our roster of cooks, housekeeping staff and maintenance engineers for hotels, resorts and restaurants. Our executive search service looks for leadership candidates who fit your culture and your guests. We apply the same careful recruiting and screening we use for our security officers, and we talk through each request in detail before we start.
