A Hospitality Security Team for Fort Lauderdale
VWF is a hospitality staffing company based in Miami, and we serve Broward and Palm Beach counties with the same care we bring to Miami-Dade. Fort Lauderdale is a short drive up I-95 for our management team, and it is a city we know well. Our leaders bring more than 30 years of experience in hospitality security, and they built VWF around one idea: the officer in a hotel lobby is part of the guest experience.
So we recruit, screen and train officers for warmth first. They say good morning. They learn the names of returning guests. They help a family find the shuttle to the port, and they notice the pool deck door that someone propped open. Our hotel security officers are unarmed and customer-service oriented, and you choose how they look: a black suit and black tie, a tactical presentation, or a mix of both depending on the post.
Where Fort Lauderdale Properties Need Us
Fort Lauderdale is several cities in one, and each district asks something different of an officer.
- Fort Lauderdale Beach and A1A: oceanfront resorts and hotels along Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, where officers watch pool decks, beach gates and valet lanes while answering a steady stream of questions about the water and where to eat.
- Las Olas Boulevard: boutique hotels, restaurants and galleries where the lobby feels like part of the street, and an officer has to be welcoming and alert to foot traffic at the same time.
- Downtown and Flagler Village: newer hotels and towers near the Brightline station and the Riverwalk along the New River, with business travelers during the week and visitors on weekends.
- Harbor Beach and the Port Everglades area: hotels close to the cruise terminals and the convention center, busy with luggage, tour groups and early arrivals.
- Galt Ocean Mile and the north beach: smaller hotels tucked between tall towers, where many guests return every winter and expect the staff to remember them.
- Cypress Creek and Uptown: office parks and suburban hotels near I-95, where concierge officers handle visitor check-in for tenants.
Cruise Days, Boat Show Week and the Winter Season
Fort Lauderdale runs on a calendar, and a good officer plans around it. On cruise days, hotels near Port Everglades fill the night before a sailing and empty in a rush the next morning. By late morning a new wave arrives from the ships, looking for a place to hold bags until check-in. The lobby gets loud and crowded. An officer who stays friendly, keeps the luggage area organized and pays attention to who walks out with what makes that day go well for everyone.
Late October or early November brings the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, with yacht owners, crews, brokers and exhibitors from around the world. Hotels near the marinas and the beach are full, parking is tight and guests keep long hours. The winter season follows, roughly December through April, with snowbirds from the Northeast, Canada and Europe, and spring travelers in March. Summer is quieter and more local. It is also hurricane season, and an officer who knows the property and its procedures is worth a great deal when a storm is on the way.
Guests here speak many languages. Spanish and Portuguese are common across Broward, Haitian Creole is heard among staff and neighbors, and winter brings French speakers from Quebec along with German and British visitors. We look for officers who speak more than one language, and we try to match them to the guests you see most.
Concierge Officers for Downtown and Cypress Creek Offices
Fort Lauderdale is also a business city. Downtown office towers along Broward Boulevard and Las Olas, and the office parks around Cypress Creek Road, need someone in the lobby who greets visitors, checks them in and knows which tenant is expecting whom. Our commercial office security team places concierge officers who balance the needs of tenants, visitors and building safety, without making the lobby feel like a checkpoint.
For buildings that do not need an officer on site at all hours, our remote video monitoring service is an option. We assess the property, design and set up the camera system, and watch for suspicious activity so we can report it to you.
Event Staffing and Hotel Staffing in Broward
Fort Lauderdale hosts events all year, from waterfront weddings and yacht parties during boat show week to conferences at the convention center by Port Everglades and galas in hotel ballrooms on the beach. Each one needs people who make arrival easy: staff to check in guests, keep lines moving from the valet or the water taxi dock, look after VIPs and keep the event safe and friendly. We review each event individually and tell you honestly what we can staff. Our event staffing management page explains how we plan.
Hotels here also need hands behind the scenes. Cruise turnaround days mean dozens of rooms to clean between a morning checkout and an afternoon arrival, boat show week fills banquet kitchens, and engineers keep pools, ice machines and air handlers running through salt air and summer storms. We are now accepting requests for hospitality staffing, including cooks, housekeeping and maintenance engineers, and we are now building our roster for leadership searches. If you run properties a little farther south, we also serve Hollywood, and to the north, Boca Raton.
A Day on Post in Fort Lauderdale
Picture an officer on a beachfront hotel post. The shift starts before sunrise with a walk of the pool deck, the beach gate and the parking garage. By seven, cruise guests are checking out and asking about rides to the port. Midday brings beach traffic and deliveries at the loading dock. In the evening the A1A sidewalk is busy, the bar is full, and the officer is the person guests ask about a late arrival, a lost key card or the best way to Las Olas. Through all of it the job stays the same: be kind, be watchful, write a clear report and hand a calm property to the next shift.
